Olympic Bound?
This girl loves her some gymnastics, and she's got some pretty mad skills if I do say so myself! We just finished another term so Nia has now gathered 4 medals from all the classes she's taken thus far. We've already started back up again and plan to stick with it as long as she wants to - and as far as she's concerned she is going to the Olympics when she's bigger. She's also expressed an interest in martial arts so I'm going to look into that in the near future too.

March Madness
Nia probably has over 50 stuffed animals. Thankfully a lot of them are small. But they totally fill a 3 shelf bookcase. She varies as to who are the special pets and she's mad about them. At the moment, these 2 are. "Mommy, take a picture of my doggies and put the picture on my blog." Hmmm, Well, why not? "Ok Nia."

Polar Bear Visit
Having great parks and zoos in your communities is such a blessing. And I know most other parents feel the same way. Here's another zoo trip (and this won't be the last I post). This is from a few weeks ago when it was warm, before the freeze, and then now warm again. We love the Polar Bear and Seal displays.

Dads and Donuts
It was a speical morning at Nia's school hanging a bit with their daddy's, and eating donuts. They loved it. As tight as Nia and I are, she and Ian have a super special relationship too. It's very interesting that I took Nia to the dentist the first time at just over age 2. It did not go well at all. Ian is the one who took her 6 months later. And of course, no problem. Last Summer for her first couple swimming lessons, I took her and she cried and didn't want to participate. So then Ian took her, and she was fine. Well, the interesting thing about all that is that Nia recently, clearly told me that she wants Daddy to take her to the dentist next time. I said, "OK, I'm sure that will be fine, by why do you want Daddy to do it.? She replied "Because I can be calm with him." huh? I'm not sure what she means, but I gather that he must have a more mellow, calm, protective approach to her. I have no problem with that! That's something that those two can do on their own and I guess that's why mommies AND daddies are meant to be when possible.
