We've been working on our backyard - weeding, setting up the sandbox (the turtle), planting flowers, etc. I think this backyard is Nia's place.... except for those mosquitos!
Yes, talk about lack of diversity. I enrolled Ava with a PCS childcare provider who has black children just so that she could play with kids who don't look like her all of the time, I just think that socialization starts really young.
Vegas is very diverse though. Our neighborhood has a really nice mix - and a community pool...so looking forward to hanging out with a more dynamic crowd. So I'm hopeful that I won't have to seek out opportunities for her to play with kids of all races, that it will just happen in our backyard...which, by the way is more like a back sandbox.
