Nia has been asking for a guitar for some now. I'm not sure where she initially got that idea but she is definitely musically inclined. She has a great singing voice and keeps a tune far better than I (not hard). The idea of the guitar may have been magnified after she saw us playing the new xbox game Rock Band with her Auntie and Uncle in Atlanta. So, yesterday I finally got her one while we shopped. We got back in the car and I took it out of it's box so she could play with it. As I got into the driver's seat and started the car Nia said to me, "Mommy are you ready to rock on?" Yes, it's true - this is no made up story. Our 3 year old kid said "Are you ready to rock on?" wow.

this is too funny! it comes during the week that Jonathan learned to drive (on a golf cart, out with Daddy and Mr. Scott and Cole) the same day that Lexi and I had a girls day at the end of which we landed at the bookstore and she wanted not a book but her FIRST ALBUM and told me all about the "lead singer" of the Jonas Brothers and how wonderful he is. how do you know about lead singers, I asked her? I read about it on the label, she replied. :) it wasn't all that long ago that I taught them to read, telling them they could do or be anything they wanted in this world if only they can read. even lead singers and lead guitarists. !!!
